This should give you an idea of why we are the way we are.
We have completely changed the way we think, act and dream based on some powerful information we recently found. Basically, everything we thought we knew was wrong and now we are trying to figure out what comes next.
Stuff, Stuff, and more Stuff!
Our policy used to be impress and then people will like you. What that got us was no true friends and a lot of sadness. We lost everything and ended up eating Ramen noodles for a few months before we realized that God didn't want us where we were. (I actually like Ramen noodles. That's why it took a few months.)
Our new policy is "Palm Trees". This means, nothing matters. Nothing. If someone likes you, they will like you whether you are rich or poor. If someone loves you, they will love you whether you have a studio apartment or a McMansion. Whenever people act crazy, or something tries to stress us, we close our eyes and remember where we have been and then re-open them to find we live by white sandy beaches and palm trees.
Victoria
We had a daughter taken from us by an unjust legal system that doesn't obey it's own rules. Judges denied witnesses testimony based on not wanting to stay late. Other judges refused to force the state to provide a bill of specificity so we truly couldn't defend ourselves. A note. A bill of specificity says 'who' is accused of 'what'. John murdered Kate. Bill stole from Susan. These are specific allegations. Our allegations from the state amounted to 'they' 'did or knew of' 'something'. It didn't say we abused her. It didn't say we knew of abuse. It didn't say that one abused while one knew. It didn't say anything. How do you defend yourself when you don't know what you are defending against?
New ways
We found out that Monsanto is harming us and we chose to stop it. We now are around 95% raw and the other 5% is seafood or whole, organic foods. Katie is a full raw vegan now ( I never thought my country ham and biscuit loving self would say that!!).
There is no reason for Monsanto to be allowed to harm our children. They make the poisons that go on our food, they make the seed that only accepts their poisons, they engineer the seed to carry diseases and then they sell us the treatment for these diseases that they have caused!

Failure
We used to view failure as a bad thing. Now we know that failure is awesome! Failure means at least you tried. We learn so much from failing that when it happens we start looking for lessons and ways to do better the next time we attempt whatever we failed at. We are losers, but we'll win in the end.
